Fluffy Pancakes
Enjoy a stack of light and fluffy pancakes, perfect for breakfast or brunch. These pancakes are easy to make and delicious to eat!
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan
Instructions
Prepare the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
Heat the Skillet:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
Cook the Pancakes:
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancakes and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.
Serve:
- Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh berries, whipped cream, or butter.
